On March 1, 2023, he joined the defense of Ukraine as part of the «Azov» Regiment, and later continued serving in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On September 12, 2023, during the liberation of Andriivka near Bakhmut, he served as part of an assault group. After taking positions, the unit came under mortar fire. Despite being wounded, he helped evacuate a fellow serviceman, but during a repeated shelling sustained fatal injuries
