About the Project

The Lawyers’ Book of Remembrance is a project dedicated to preserving the memory of Ukrainian legal professionals who lost their lives defending the country in russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

Our goal is to honor, preserve, and pass on the memory of every lawyer-hero.

The project is organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association at the initiative and with the support of attorney Denys Bugay.

The Book of Remembrance brings together information about legal professionals from all areas of the legal field – including the bar, prosecution, notariat, judiciary, academia, public service, and business. At a critical moment, they stood up to defend the state and gave their lives for it.

The Book of Remembrance is not statistics. It is a collection of personal stories, memories from colleagues, family, and loved ones, as well as records of professional activity and contributions to the development of law. Each page represents a life cut short by war, but not forgotten.

The project is open. Information is submitted through a form on the website and verified by a team of volunteers.
